Newsletter, Fall 2009

Attention: open in a new window. PDFPrintE-mail

Summer comes to an end this week and the leaves are changing color in Virginia.

But, the leaves aren't the only thing changing at Impulsion Unlimited Dressage Horse Sales and Marketing as we move from Summer to Fall.

Dear Friends:

This is the launch of our new quarterly newsletter and one of the many areas of focus in our business of helping buyers and sellers of quality dressage horses. As of today, there are 1,499 of you receiving this email who interacted with us as buyers, sellers, or are friends of Impulsion Unlimited.

What's Changing?

A new newsletter!

Previously we sent our newsletter from Outlook and ran our website from Frontpage. This presented many challenges. After many hours of work, you are reading the result. We are on new platforms allowing  you the ability to manage your relationship with us better and giving us the ability to communicate more efficiently with you.

A new website!

July 1st  marked the relaunch of the (Link here) Impulsion Unlimited Dressage website. Jeff spent weeks on this project and is happy to report 4000 visitors in August! If you haven't visited yet, check out the link above. You will see new colors a new theme and very rich content including access to our Blog, Twitter, Facebook all in one place. You can get the information that you want related to horses for sale or marketing help in a way that works best for YOU!

Actively searching for or trying to sell a dressage horse?

We opened up access to our database so that you can complete a form with detailed information about your new horse needs or the horse you would like us to consider selling for you. They can be found under the "Horses for Sale" and "Horse Consignment" menus.

Dressage Horse Sales Activity Update 3rd Quarter:

Selling activity is very good in 2009 and continued in the third quarter. Some people, including sellers and trainers mistakenly believe that the economy devastated horse sales in 2009. Our experience is different. Selling time on average is running 60 days or less. We attribute success to our exclusive focus on sales.

If you are struggling to find your dream horse or finding difficulty selling in today's economy, the article we published applies. Read it here: "Buying and Selling Dressage Horses in Today's Economy"Better yet, contact us to see if we can help you.

Addressing our #1 challenge; getting horses to sell:

To meet the needs of our buyers, we are actively contacting sellers and trainers by phone and email around the country and Canada to find the quality amateur safe horses we  built our 20+ year reputation on. This work is paying off. We have several 2nd level and higher horses arriving beginning next week. Two are posted on the wesite now.

They won't last long. We have 5 buyers booking travel already. So, if you or someone you know has a high quality horse for sale, please forward the newsletter or contact us about helping you and an active buyer.

Other Announcements and News:

(taken from our website)

Grand Prix Rider Sue Cooper and Jeff Johnson of Impulsion Unlimited are considering a new free service for dressage riders.

A challenge for riders is how to overcome a training issue when they don't have the resources available locally and/or can't justify the expense for a clinic that could be as much as a thousand dollars for a few rides with a clinician. Money is tight for the majority of us today.

We see a need and want to help. We remotely helped clients with training issues and decided that more people could be interested in getting help from and FEI trainer on a "specific issue". It would work like this: You would contact us by email or send a video link showing the issue and we would respond on the website with a demonstration of how to fix it.

Jeff knows how much time it takes to shoot and edit any video. So, before we head down this path, we are soliciting your feedback.

This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it and tell him if this service would benefit you, or tell us other information that would you would like us to cover in the Winter addition of the newsletter or just to say hi.

IMPORTANT:

You have several options with this newsletter subscription in the links below.

Please update your "Preferences" for newletters. There is a second newsletter for active buyers in the works and the default is set to send it to you. We don't want to send anything you don't want to receive. The additional information on the form is purely optional.

Then, we hope you will share by forwarding this email to at least one friend.

Best regards,

Jeff Johnson and Sue Cooper
